My name is Robert Horsfield and together with my family we run Save the Birds and Save the Plants from our home in Milton Keynes. We are a small business and our aim is to provide a quality service at the lowest cost to our customers. We develop and maintain this website ourselves and we use local services wherever possible.
We can offer you a simple, clear and extremely competitive price on all of our products.
We don't produce a printed catalogue or send out junk mail.
What happened to Save the Birds and Save the Plants?
Until recently Save The Birds and Save the Plants were run as two separate websites (it's always been one business). However, we received so many requests from our 'Plants' customers for 'Birds' products and vice versa that the only sensible thing to do was to merge the websites. For the lack of a better name, www.SaveThe.co.uk was created!
We are always thinking how to run the business with as little environmental impact as possible. We use Royal Mail as much as we can, because the chances are they were coming to your door anyway. We reuse nearly all the packing material that we receive our stock in. Boxes are reused or cut up and composted. Plastics are used as void-fill where it doesn't add too much weight and pallets are recycled rather than burnt or thrown away. Believe it or not we walk or cycle to the post office most days to dispatch smaller orders.
Ok, so WE, is really ME, Robert Horsfield, Rob. I'm a sole trader - that means I take sole responsibility for this business, if something goes wrong, doesn't work or is not to your total satisfaction its me you will talk to. I pack nearly all orders, although certain lines are out-sourced.
I established the business in August 2007.

It doesn't get better than this!
I left a message on your answer phone, and you telephoned me back within 10 minutes.
The item I wanted was large and in stock, and my purchases were delivered by courier the following morning as promised.
Prior to purchasing from you, the same item at the same price was for sale with a competitor, but delivery was promised within 28 days!
Yes...... 28 days!
When I said I needed it the next day, their best offer was delivery within 14 days!
I'm SO glad I went with Save the Plants, Save the Birds.
I expect the best price and a polite human being wanting my order, and next day delivery, and that's what I got!
Fantastic service from someone who understands the true meaning Customer Support.

I just wanted to thank you for such an efficient service. I ordered the birdfeeder on Tuesday and it was in my porch when I came home on Wednesday afternoon. I'm very impressed and wish there were more people around like you! Thanks very much.
